Strategic Goals and Priorities


Much of the Board's resources go into prescribed activities such as rule making and producing the Biennial Report to the Governor, but the Board also has policy development capacity. It has statutory authority to recommend policy to the Secretary of Health and, more broadly, "to explore ways to improve the health status of the citizenry." Planning sessions are typically held at the beginning of each new biennium to develop a strategic plan.
