The 2022 State Health Report is now available.
The Washington State Board of Health (Board) is responsible for providing recommendations for legislative action related to improving the public’s health and has been doing so since 1891. The Board produces the State Health Report every two years to identify public health priorities and necessary legislative changes for the Governor’s consideration.
The 2022 report focuses on public health work and recommendations to make school environments healthy and safe, remove barriers to health care insurance and care coverage, improve public health’s response to health inequities through data reform, and improve access to culturally and linguistically appropriate health services.
