Health Impact Review Testimony: HB 1697, Health Coverage/Young Adults

The 2020 Legislative Session is underway in Olympia. Our Health Impact Review policy analysts are busy completing reviews and are fielding more requests from legislators.

The Health Impact Review indicates that the bill has the potential to increase access to health insurance for young adults 19 to 26 years of age who are income-eligible, regardless of immigration status, which may increase access to and use of healthcare services, improve health outcomes, and decrease health inequities by immigration status.
