The first meeting of the year for the Board is a wrap. Here’s a quick summary of actions taken by the Board, and presentations from our public health partners from our January meeting. You can find all meeting materials on our website. Quick links are provided in the presentations.
Board members took the following actions:
- Board members denied a petition for rulemaking to amend Washington’s immunizations rules. The petition requested the Board to consider amending the rules to include the human papillomavirus (HPV) as one of the diseases requiring vaccination against or proof of acquired immunity prior to school or a child care center attendance.

The next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 at the State Department of Health, Town Center 2 East, in rooms 166/167 in Tumwater. The proposed final agenda for the March meeting and draft minutes from our January 8 meeting will be available on our website Wednesday, March 4. Meeting materials will be posted to our website on Friday, March 6 by 5:00 p.m.
