The Washington State Board of Health (Board) would like to congratulate and extend its gratitude to Keith Grellner, Board chair, Tom Pendergrass, former Board vice chair, Member Fran Bessermin, and Member Stephen Kutz each who have fulfilled their terms with the Board, ending their successful appointments as Board members. Fran Bessermin and Tom Pendergrass retired from the Board in April. Chair Greller and Member Kutz will continue to serve in their roles until the Governor’s Office appoints other individuals to fill their positions. The Board took time at its June 8 meeting to recognize Chair Grellner and Member Kutz for their contributions to the Board, honor their outstanding service to the public health system, and acknowledge the exceptional work they have done over the years to protect and advance the public’s health in Washington.
